Influenster Holiday VoxBox 2012

Alrighty! So today I received my Holiday VoxBox from Influenster! Yay! If you are unfamiliar with Influenster, basically it's a website where you can review and share products which earn you points and badges which may qualify you for their VoxBox deals. The VoxBox is a box of products that Influenster sends you for FREE! And come on, who doesn't love free? You can also link your blog and YouTube accounts, so double yay! If this is something that you'd be interested in trying out, drop a comment or find me on Facebook and I'll send you an invite. I only have three invites left, so don't dawdle!
But basically, I got the email a few days ago saying that I would receive the Holiday VoxBox and today when I checked the mail, there it was!
Disclaimer: I received these products complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster. No one is paying me to review their products, I just do it cuz I like to. Yeah, it's like that.

The Holiday VoxBox came standard with 6 items and a bonus item based on your demographic.
See? Good stuff right? I got a cup of Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal ($1.79/cup), NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine in Nude York City ($2.49), Kiss Nail Dress ($6.99), EBOOST ($28 for box of 20 effervescent powders, $39 for box of 30 effervescent powders, $39 for box of 12 shots), Goody QuikStyle Brush Half-Round Styler ($11.99), a $25 off my first purchase code for Sole Society, and my bonus item, Montagne Jeunesse Face Mask (under $2).
$1.79/cup
This is the Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal in Peach Almond. I absolutely loathe oatmeal, so I gave this to my husband. He said it was good. According to the description on my Influenster card "Simply the best oatmeal ever - and you can enjoy it on the go! Whole grain oats, rye, barley and wheat are mixed with large chunks of real fruit & nuts in a convenient single-serve cup. Just add hot water or microwave and you can have a delicious breakfst anytime, anywhere." This is the extent of the review for this item as I have no personal opinion on it.
$2.49
And the NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine in Nude York City. I have never used any of NYC's products, and Influenster's little description is "Keep your lips soft as ever with the NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine. It's pure pigment ingredients create a 3-D gloss effect while Vitamin E provides shine and moisture. The non-sticky formula creates the ultimate creamy and soft textured feel. Available in 10 on-trend shades from neutral nudes, to berries & fuschias." I did just apply this gloss and I will say the color is pretty, it smells lovely, and it isn't sticky. I'll do a more in depth review later, but it seems to be a great deal at $2.49.
$6.99
The Kiss Nail Dress, I believe the design is Teddy. I haven't ever used these or any of the other products like this, but I have heard particularly good things about this particular brand. And the design is just lovely!! I'm pretty excited to try these, not gonna lie. But trying them (and then reviewing them) will have to wait until I have my holiday ducks in a row. Don't want to wreck my nails before Christmas! And Influenster says "Ultimate nail fashion for tips and toes! Just peel, apply, and shape for a manicure that lasts up to a week. On in minutes, off in seconds without remover. Nail Dress is available in 21 different styles, many of them featuring 3-dimensional jeweled designs. Skip the topcoat, Nail Dress has it built in." Sounds like a win to me. And these are the 3-dimensional jeweled designs, btw.
$28 for a box of 20 effervescent powders, $39 for a box of 30 effervescent powders, $39 for a box of 12 shots
And EBOOST, Natural Energy from green tea extract. This does not excite me, in fact these types of products make me a little nervous. I'm epileptic, so stuff like this can make me a little wonky. I suppose I'll give it a try and just slowly sip off it, maybe share it with my cousin or something. But Influenster says "EBOOST will boost your mood, focus, and immunity with natural ingredients and no crash. As a shot or an easy-to-mix powder and in four flavors, you'll feel great whether you choose Orange, Pink Lemonade, Acai Pomegranate, or Super Berry. And with all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, you'll certainly need a boost!" I did receive the Pink Lemonade flavor. If I do try it, I'll let you guys know what I think.
$11.99
This is the Goody QuikStyle Brush Half-Round Styler!!! According to the packaging, it's weird little fuzzy "bristles remove water by 30% to dry faster. I have heard that this does in fact work. I haven't tried it personally, though I do plan to do so. Also, the microfiber bristles are antimicrobial which is pretty awesome. Especially if you have a 2 year old who can't figure out the difference between a hair brush and a tooth brush. According to Influenster's description "Once again, Goody brings innovation to your hair routine! Go from wet to beautifully styled hair faster than ever! Super absorbent microfiber bristles removes up to 30% of water as you style. It's like a towel and a brush in one." Totally stoked to try this on both me and my daughter. Will update on this one ASAP as it looks totally awesome.
"Sole Society allows you to discover the latest trends, share your personal style. recommend shoes to friends, and follow the curated collections of top fashion insiders. Inside this box, you'll find $25 off your first purchase!" so says Influenster. I am not a current member of Sole Society and don't really know what is in their catalog. The little card with my coupon code says that the shoes start at $49.95, and they are on-trend. So it's a good coupon. However, I haven't checked it out yet really so if I have to like pay to be a member or something I'm probably not going to redeem it. I simply don't buy shoes enough for that. But if I can just go in, pick a pair and get $25 off, no strings attached, then I will most definitely be using this code.
Bonus item - under $2
Last but not least, my bonus item! This is a Montagne Jeunesse face mask, mine is a Deep Cleansing Clean-Up Mud in Aloe Vera & Willow. The Influenster description is "Montagne Jeunesse face masques have been a part of many girl's lives since way back when. With a huge array to choose from these face masques are jam packed with the most delicious natural ingredients and are bursting with luscious juicy fragrances." For starters I LOVE facial masques. I really really love them! So this product has me pretty stoked. In the next couple days I will definitely have to do a review of this item with a how-to on home facials. It'll be tons of fun!
So this has been a quick overview of my Holiday VoxBox from Influenster, and I have got to say I am pleased. I got a lot of cool little items here, a few that I am really excited about. Influenster is pretty well designed for bloggers, so if you're a blogger and you're interested, let me know and I'll send an invite. Hope you guys liked this impromptu review as much as I did, feel free to drop a comment below or, better yet, follow my blog! Til next time!

  1. You don't have to pay anything for the Sole Society. In fact, it's free shipping both ways, which is nice. My feet aren't a standard size, apparently, so I was nervous about buying shoes and then having them not fit, but it's free to ship them back as well, so that's chill.

I thought I'd be crafty and buy clearance shoes, but no go, haha. There are a couple pairs that I like, so $25 for ridiculous heels? I guess I'm there, haha.
